Rockford Home with Mold Damage

The basement of this Rockford home had a significant water damage from a broken pipe. The water was not discovered for some time as the family was away for a week during the holidays.

The excess water caused a humidity problem that permeated the walls and floor joists. After removing the moldy drywall we found mold growing on all the ceiling joists and framing. The first picture of a mold covered ceiling joist.

The second picture is of the gutted basement after all moldy material had been removed. What was left over was cleaned and disinfected, ready to have the restoration portion started as soon as the wet cement dries.
